High-Risk Pregnancy

I have a new home...

For a while at least. I went to my MFM appointment this morning and my CL measured 2mm, I was 1cm dilated and having contractions. I was immediately sent to the hospital and admitted into L&D. My MFM doc thinks I will be here at least 4 weeks which will put us at 29 weeks. I hope to make it that long or longer.

I have received an IV for fluids and a steroid injection. They are also monitoring my contractions.

If anyone has any tips on how to keep your mind distracted or kill time...I'm all ears.  TIA

Re: I have a new home...

  • Praying for you!!!

  • Loading the player...
  • i don't have advice (yet) but i understand.  Tomorrow will mark a week since i have been in my new home (but i only found out for sure yesterday that they plan to keep me here until the end, which is hopefully later vs. sooner). Good luck....
  • Ahhh... good luck!!!

I am on Hospital bedrest (have been for a little over a week) and have been in and out (when I am out I am on strict bedrest at home) of the hospital since 28 weeks  (steroid shots, nifidipine, etc).

It is hard to do mentally, but I have tried to focus on other ways to prep for baby... reading a lot, etc.

  • UPDATE:

    Thanks for the replies ladies!

my contractions ended up landing me on Magnesium Sulphate and Indocin. I just finished 48hours of Mag and and feeling much better. That medicine is something else. This has been a crazy wild ride and some days I am not sure if I am up for the challenge. I know what is best for the boys - and I will do it. I am starring at u/s pics of the boys to remember that they are no doubt worth this fight for the next several weeks, and it is a small price to pay :) T&Ps to everyone on this board. I can not 100% fully comprehend how scary and hard this is.
