Can anyone's LOs feed themselves the puffs? I've been putting some on DD's tray after meals to see what she will do and she usually gets them in a fist or weirdly between her first and middle fingers, but doesn't even try to put them in her mouth.
Am I too early on this milestone? Just wondering...she can't hold her bottle and sippy cup is a disaster and I know a few LOs on here are pretty good at both of those.
Re: Puffs and pincer grasp
They need to slow down for sure.

Lol, yes! Everything in the mouth but food! She does like eating them when I give them to her so it isn't an aversion.
Also, aeh, I find them everywhere! The dog is loving this. He waits under the high chair.
hahaha Oh I love how the dogs are so smart and follow LO around...cuz they know they will find treats for themselves.

jonathan will only hold bottle for short period of time. and usually when he holds onto it, he wants to just play with it or throw it. He just this week started getting the hang of grabbing puffs and putting in his mouth.
he would pick them up before, but just throw them around. now he knows they are food and puts them in his mouth. i only give him one at a time, because he tries to put them all at the same time. but 90% of them time the puffs end up being thrown instead of in mouth.
My daughter is now refusing all purees... but loves puffs! She does feed herself... but she has her brother to watch as a model.
Her brother, though, didn't feed himself ANYTHING until 10 months, 1 day. The only reason I remember is because he had to figure out how to walk first. He was fully walking at 10 months old exactly. The next day he finally picked up food and fed himself.
My point? All kids develop differently. Enjoy the fact that you feed them the puffs... DD is making an absolute mess with anything she feeds herself.
