Mirena, breastfeeding and period??

I have Mirena (which some people don't get their period with) and I'm exclusively breastfeeding, so I kinda figured with the combo of the two I wouldn't get my period anytime soon...

I just had some spotting and a little cramping this morning, so I'm thinking aunt flo is on her way :(

Anyone else get their period yet if you're BF and have and IUD?

    I think I had one last week. I definetly had all the PMS! Just a little spotting though. I work full time, so I pump during the day. I thought AF would stay away too, but my midwife said that pumping doesn't have the same hormonal effects as breastfeeding so cycles will return faster.

    I have had cramps and a day of spotting a few times. Didn't keep track of when so not sure if that is AF or what. But we did start solids at 1.5 months ago, although he's still having as much BM as before.
