Hi,

I am new to The Bump and was hoping to seek help/support for my fertility problems. Here is some background information...My husband and I have been TTC since May 2010. After having the HSG (which showed that everything is good) and trying 3 rounds of Clomid and 1 round of Femara, my OB suggested I visit a RE. After several tests including a semen analysis (which was also good), my doctor noticed that I have a small cervix which is why the sperm cannot get to where it needs to be for implantation to occur. So, he suggested IUI with Femara (even though I don't have trouble ovulating...guess he wanted to be aggressive). When I went in for my first IUI on Halloween he did it BUT he said he noticed two small fibroids that are in my uterine wall. He said the size is not the issue but the location is the biggest issue. So, I asked him...Well what does that mean if this sticks and I am pregnant from this IUI? His response was that I will have a 20% chance of preterm labor or miscarriage and that we will hope that that wouldn't happen. If I am not pregnant (next week), I will have to have surgery that will take 3 weeks to recoup from and will have to wait 3 months to try another IUI. Sad

I am at 9 dpiui and have been tracking my symptoms during this agonizing 2WW and trying not to look too deeply into every little symptom but it's hard. I was just wondering if there was someone out there that may have a similar situation and near the 9 dpiui so I can share experiences with. Crying
