Hi! I just saw this new Board! Awesome that there are some bumpies awake when I am awake. : )
My hubby and I moved to Denmark 4 years ago to just experience a different culture and to travel more on this side of the world.
I work at a dairy company here (Arla), and have one son that is 18 months, and now I am on maternity leave again, pregnant with twins, which should be here around New Years.
I had my first child here, and my twins will be born here too.
Looking forward to sharing experiences with y'all!

Hi! I am brand new to the board as well. I am an American living with my American DH and two British born babies in the UK. We have been here 6 years and love it.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and enjoy your maternity leave before babies come!

Good afternoon everyone!
DH and I are both American and have lived in Scotland for almost 7 years now. Expecting our first in December and have just over 2 weeks left at work before I go on maternity leave for just over a year - am really excited about it! I feel very, very lucky to have gone through all of this on the NHS and with all the benefits I get here.
BFP Apr 2012, EDD Dec 19 2012 * twin h/b at 6wk, 9wk scan * Baby A lost at 12wks

SO many new people - exciting!!! I'm so glad they added this board
I'm American, living in Sydney, Australia with dh and dd who was born here
Hi, I am a South African living in the UK with my SA husband and 4 year old son. My son was born here.
We have an American lady that frequents the board and she lives in Denmark too. Hopefully she will stop by here and say hi.
Look at all these Scandinavians! Now I feel like I need to get pregnant, because all the Scandinavians are hanging out on the Bump instead of the general international board.
...Although, I'm talking about Scandinavia, so I shouldn't be surprised. The first questions my colleagues asked when I moved here were "When are you planning to get pregnant?" and "You know this is a great place to have kids?"
I never got the question but Swedes tend to be a little reserved, especially in personal matters. However, I do know that Sweden has one of the highest birth rates in Europe...I see baby strollers all over the place. The generous family leave is definitely a bonus in Scandinavians. We did wait to have a child because of the generous family leave.
I'm also happy to see others in Scandinavia. I just met the only other American in our town yesterday, so it can be a little isolating, but the Swedes have been very friendly and welcoming our move here.
Wha?
I had to look that up, because I couldn't imagine it was so terribly different there than in Denmark. And I can't seem to find any source that says it is. o_O
My source was quite a few years ago when I looking into info on Sweden, so maybe it is older news. I sure it is not the highest. Sorry, I never meant to be dogmatic about it.
Hei !
I am not american , but i am Hungarian born living in Norway with an Irish Husband .
Little confusing hmm ?
We live here 1 years ago .
I did met a girl from New Zealand , but i never met any other irish or english , or american .
Sure i would have fun though .
I don't know why I always thought your DH was Danish. Being so blonde and beautiful you both probably get mistaken for Danes all of the time I would imagine.
