What are you doing at home to reinforce what's being done at school?

DS1 is 3 and just started in the primary room and gets so focused on cleaning now lol. I just bought him a tiny dust pan, scrub brush, spray bottle and sponge.

I have all of his snacks where he can reach and I try lol to keep his things neat, orderly and in its place.

Any one else want to share tips?

DS's school sends a sheet with activities and there's a focus on one a week.

When school started the first ones were:

- Going to bed early

- Saying hello

- Saying good-bye

- Saying please

- Saying thank you

I've heard that the next ones have washing your hands, blowing your nose and for the older kids, making your bed.

I know this is an old post, but just wanted to share my two cents :

DS has his own (bottom) drawer in the kitchen with all of his cups, bowls, plates, and utensils. He really likes unloading the dishwasher and the dish drainer, and puts all of his items back in his drawer.

We've also got the spray bottle and sponge so he can clean up his table.

The biggest thing we are focusing on right now is just working on one activity at a time, and putting each away when he is finished.

To add on to the snack idea: he can help add ingredients in cooking, use a juicer with orange halves to make OJ, and practice cutting bananas or PB&Js with plastic knives (we use the knife that comes with the Gerber silverware).

We have step stools in all the bathrooms and the kitchen so he is able to do more things independently.
