August 2011 Moms

I just have to say...

That I FREAKING LOVE being a working mom. I seriously think it is what I needed. When I come home from work I swear to god I get a second wind just for my daughter.

Before I started, I had this boo hoo, poor me attitude and I am going to miss my baby all day and what am I going to do with out her outlook on life. Now I truly appreciate my time away from her and my time with her.

I dont know why I didnt do this sooner to be quite honest.

Sorry, I just had to share!

  • That's great!  I got a part time job in September and it was just the break I needed (but of course I had to quit bc it was waaaayyyyy too far to drive. -)- But I agree, when I got home from work, I had a second wind. It seemed like I had more patients too. -- So glad you like working! :)

  • That is so good to hear! So what kind of job did you get (if you don't mind me asking)?

Yeah... what kind of job? So glad its going so well for you. And honestly I'm so happy to hear other moms say they like working. Not every mom is cut out to stay home and I wish society wouldn't think I'm doing my kid some kind of injustice by doing so. I was NOT made to stay home. Its just not me.

  • I think that is great.  I find it very easy to get stuck in a SAH rut, and often wonder if a part time job wouldn't be a fix for me, and help me to have more patience with DD.  I'm so glad that you've found a balance that that works for you!

  • I got a little part time gig as a brain surgeon, nothing serious. Pfft, come on ladies, nothing personal, I have yet to share my whole name on here.

I miss you ladies too but I seriously needed a break from my SAHM routine, I was getting depressed and I was forgetting to be me, who I am and what I am all about.

Duff-mini g was a pink bunny for halloween. She was with her dad and his parents for that so her Grandma picked out the costume and I hate to admit, did a really good job.

  • Isn't it nice? You get a break from the kids, feel super accomplished at your job, and can come home and see your baby. I am a career mom for life! :)
