Evaporation Line or Positive Pregnancy Test? Help!

I took this test last night and thought that I may indeed be pregnant, but when I took another in the morning the test did not look positive. There may have been a very very very faint line, but I'm not really sure.

Go get a FRER.

My first test looked like that to. I kept taking a test for the next 5 days and saw the line get darker and darker. Keep testing!!! Hope to see you here soon.

Also, last night, she posted practically the same thing. She mentioned that AF is 10 days overdue......

OP, the line should definitely be stronger at this point.

10 days overdue seems a little long for it not to be DARK. but no period yet? i guess im at a loss. Schedule a doc appointment maybe? At least you will get a clear answer. Good luck!!

With PCOS it is really hard to say when I ovulated and when I didn't. I tested for ovulation at the point when I should have been ovulating and was not able to get a positive result at that time, so I am thinking I may ovulated a little later. I purchased some First Response tests today and will do those maybe in a couple of days.

I'd get some of the pink dye tests and try again with FMU tomorrow, but that does look like a line!

How long have you been ttc while knowing that you have PCOS? Are you medicated for it at all? Are you temping and charting your BBT?

If you are not, ESPECIALLY with PCOS, you really should be temping and charting. This will be the only way to know when, and whether or not, you are ovulating.

I have PCOS and I ovulate later (I have longer cycles; women ovulate approximately 2 weeks before their period). You may not even be late at all. The test is hard to say. Blue dye tests, for whatever reason, have bad evap lines which can show up before the time is even up. I would retest tomorrow morning, with FMU and a FRER. I got a BFP on Oct 1st with a FAINT FRER. I got a blood test the following day and my levels were only 23! FRER is super sensitive. If you're pregnant and getting what may be a faint on a blue dye FRER *should* give you a more definitive answer.

We haven't necessarily been actively trying to conceive. We decided to get off birth control and see how it went. It has been 3 months since then. I am on metformin which has helped my regulation. I realize that being late is normal with PCOS, but I always test just in case and this is the only time this has happened so I am really trying to not get my hopes up. I will take one of the First Reponse tests for sure then. Thank you all so much for your help. It really means alot.

Blue dye tests are the devil.

With PCOS you shoudl temp / chart. I have PCOS and was told I'd get ready to ovulate (LH Surge) and than never kick the eggs out of the basket.

Only way to know if you actually ovulated is to temp. I had to finally after a year start IF meds.

Is this picture taken right after you took it or the next morning. Don't read a test any longer than 10 min after you take it. Do what these ladies are saying and take a pink dye test with your FMU tomorrow.

read the box insert

they always say something like results after 5 minutes ::or something similar to that::

and after a certain amount of time the results are no longer accurate.

im a fan of the fancy digital ones... they straight up say pregnant not pregnant no uhhhh is this a line or is this just tinkle?? wtffff!!

but ive only used like two pregnancy tests in muh whole life, you could set a clock to my evil auntie

I am tellin' you girlfriend, you are totes knocked up! That is exactly what my first tests looked like. Take one again tomorrow morning, the second line should gradually darken. GL!

Ummm..they haven't gotten darker.

The test line also looks like it's been tinkered with.

I'm still standing by my original thought. If AF is 10 days late, those tests should be A LOT darker.

Color? It looks like a BFP to me. Grab a digital. Those don't lie.

Could be a positive. Would be good to see it in color. It looks like you have enhanced the contrast in Photoshop, did you?

Either way, there would be no line to enhance if it was a negative. I am leaning toward a SLP (small little positive)

Test again tomorrow and post a color photo. GL!
