I think my BFing days have come to an end..

And strangely enough, I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be.  Once I got pregnant with LO#2, I started to try to wean L off the boob.. slowly.. very slowly lol. At around 11 months or so, I was only feeding L maybe 2 times in a 24 hour period.This past week or so, I was only nursing L once (on one side only) in a 24 hour period. I realize at that point, it was only for comfort,  because these ladies are dried up.. I think I was nursing more for my comfort than for L's haha.

I haven't nursed L in over 48 hours. I'm thinking that this might be it. It's a weird feeling, but I'm actually ok with it. I made it to 12 months, when I had only set the goal for 6, so I am proud of that.

I am hoping that I will be as fortunate the next time around, but I realize that each LO is different, so who knows.

There's no point to this post other than to AW the fact that my boobs are no longer open for business... in case anyone was dying to know Stick out tongue

    Congratulations on making it a year, and for closing up shop.  No more leaky boobs, nursing bras, or that let-down feeling.  Yay you!

    I'm glad you and L are okay with being done with nursing.  Way to go on making it a year!

    Way to go on making a year! I have daytime weaned and am so ready to close shop but we are in the process of buying a house and I think it will be easier to night ween following the transition into the new place. Alas, my breasts are jealous of yours.
