XP from PgAL: We have a heartbeat!

I just got home from our 6 week appt. My OB did an u/s since I O'd late. Our LO is measuring one day ahead at 6wk1d and has a heartbeat! I went in fully prepared to not see the heartbeat yet since it's still early, but there it was! What a relief Big Smile

I got to talk through a lot of my fears with my OB and told her that the worst part for me (physically) with our loss was that I had zero warning signs. I basically went from spotting to full on bleeding in 20 minutes. She reassured me and told me that until we reach that milestone, I can come in for a scan every week to check on the heartbeat. That really put me at ease.

Next week, I have a formal dating u/s with a radiologist and then my 8 week appt the week after that! Grow, little sweet pea, grow!

    oh my goodness thats so great!  im super happy to hear that (i actually cried happy tears for you which i can honestly say was not entirelly hormons either lol)  my mom had 4 losses and it worries me a little, its my first one and not only has my mom had trouble, so has my aunt which really scares me.  wishing you a H&H 9 months!!!

    This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
    DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
    131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
    We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.

    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d

    Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!
