7 to 8 month weight gain

  DD is 12lbs 6 oz as of a week ago.  She's 3rd percentile, consistently since birth.

  Am I right in saying that babies weight slows down as they get mobile?!?  I think I read that somewhere?

  I'm not sure what DS weighs right now, but I know he hasn't gained much in the past month or so. He's looking a lot more "trim" and less roly-poly. It's because he's so active! 

  DD went through the same thing when she got mobile. She dropped a ton of percentiles, but there was nothing wrong with her. It's just hard to pack on weight when they're expending so many calories exercising. Crawling burns more than walking, remember.

  jonathan is a peanut...at 7 months I took him for a check up because he had an ear infection and he weighed 14lb 6 oz. 24 inches. he's a peanut...and he's fast moving! crawling..using furniture to pull himself up to stand and tries to climb on stuff.

  I thought I had a peanut but compared to these LO's - he weighed 15 lbs 8 oz at his 6 month appt so 14th percentile but tall.  Do you LO's eat a lot of food?  DS doesn't and I have somewhat attributed it to the fact that he is tiny.

  Barely any. He had a lot of allergies and I planned to EBF for a year, but then I got pregnant so I started solids recently.

  Mine is a peanut too .. not on the growth charts.  At 6 months he was 13lbs 11oz and 25".  We went in at 7 months for a derm appointment and shots and they weighed him clothed (and diapered) at 14lbs 11oz ... so really probably about 14.5lbs.

  He eats well (solids and formula) and is SUPER active (crawls a ton).  He's always been tiny.  We went to formula/bf combo at 5months and straight formula and solids at 6 and still no big change in the amount he's gained (always about a pound a month).  He did add the crawling though around 6.5 months.
