My goal is to breastfeed till 12 months. I pump at work and nurse 3 feeding: 1 morning, 1 afternoon when I get home, and 1 night time. The past couple weeks though, it hurt to nurse and pump! Anyone else feel this and know why?

I have this on my right side since DS bit me once a couple of weeks ago. I would have thought it would be back to normal by now, but it still hurts sometimes.
Is it your nipples or your actual breast? With both of my kids my nipples got sore around 9 months. I think it's because their 'sucking' is so much stronger and they drink faster. If that's the case with you, it does get better! Lanolin works wonders.
I had a really sharp nipple pain when DS was 7months, and it ended up being thrush. My doctor prescribed an oral medication for me which cleared it up! Nursing wasn't as painful as pumping, pumping was terrible! I almost quit because of it! If it continues, I'd definitely talk to your doctor about it!
