Update: <3 you guys!
So this weekend we went to an information session at a home birthing service with a midwife. We spent a few hours there and the midwife told us basically everything about their service and how it works and how the home birth happens... I started freaking out because it was all the things that nobody ever actually tells you about giving birth and labor! But Spouse loved it. The whole time he was calm and relaxed and by the end he walked away feeling so good about the whole thing- if we stay here (we may be moving in a few months but it hasn't been determined yet) then we are definitely going to do this with these midwives. He's really happy about the decision and I am beyond thrilled that things worked out this way. It really helped that he did his own research and let it sink in and he is the one that found this place and wanted to go to the information session there, and if he is comfortable with it I'm jumping on it right away! He was actually shocked at the price; I thought he was going to balk at the price tag of paying it all at once but he realized right away that it is actually going to be way cheaper than doing it the other way, even with our insurance coverage! Just thought you'd all like to know- looks like my med-free hospital-free home birth dream is becoming a reality!! =D Yay!!
