  We did a dedication, not a baptism, but I don't think favors are necessary.  At least, I don't think I got them at any baptisms I've been to...

  No favors at our baptism.  We just had people over afterwards for a little party - brunch food and a cake

  i had favors because i think its cute. I did personalized m&ms in pink and silver. Some had a cross printed on it and some had her picture on it. They turned out adorable. I put them in those cute little drawstring pouches.

  I imagine the culture around baptisms is different amongst denominations and in areas of the country---but, I am a Lutheran minister and I've never seen anyone give favors.  It definitely isn't necessary, unless it's really important to you, so don't stress about it.

  I do recommend sending thank you cards to anyone who comes to celebrate with you:)

  We had S dedicated last month and didn't do favors. Everyone who came to the dedication came over to our house afterwards for lunch. We didn't give out anything special afterwards.

  We did caramel apples. I have seen cookies, cupcakes, cake pops. Edible is the way bto go IMO.

  we had a nice picture of them printed for everyone and gave them out at the baptism to everyone. but that's it. I don't think a real favor is necessary.
