What are you doing about flu shots for your LO's this year? DH and I both got ours, but we're not sure if we want to have DD get one. She was covered last year, as I got mine when I was still pg. I'm kind of torn. What are the November moms doing?
DS had too, as a preemie he'll need it every year. But just wanna share that for infants it's 2 shots a month apart. And luckily DS didn't have a rection to either.
We all get them. I already got mine and the girls will get their's on Monday. I usually have to "suprise" DH with his, the man is terrified of needles!
DD got round one last month and will get her second one during her one year check up at the end of the month. DH and I got ours when she got her first round. As PP stated, they usually get two the first year (or 2? don't remember) they receive it. It was by far the easiest shot she's ever received, she didn't even cry and she has a low pain threshold like her mama
I don't have one scheduled for DD, but I will just ask for the first shot at her one year appt. I never got flu shots before I was pregnant, but now that I have her, I will.
DS just got his second round on Monday and did fine. My clinic doesn't like doing the flu shot with the one year shots because there are occasionally interactions between the flu shot and the Pediarix(?), I think. I got mine too, but that is because I am pregnant.
DD got her first round at her 9 month check up, and unless we have to go in before 1y, she will get the second round at her 1y appt. Neither DH or I have had ours yet, we really need to get on that!

What is it that worries you about giving LO the flu shot?
DH and I both got the flu earlier this year, and it was miserable. We are all getting our shots at LO's one year appointment. I see no reason not to, since it doesn't do any harm and may potentially have a huge benefit.
I got mine yesterday, DS will probably get his next month at his one year appointment. Not sure when DH will get his, but probably whenever we get up to the VA next...

LO got her's at her 9 month appointment. I get mine for free through work and DH is covered through our health insurance, as well. We'll be getting it. I don't understand why you wouldn't.
My husband and I both can not receive the flu shot (something about the ingredients makes us so sick, it's worse than having the flu!) but after consulting with out pedi we ended up doing the first one with DS. He did great and had absolutely no reaction. We go back in next week for his second dose.

DS got his at his one year appointment. He goes back at the beginning of December to get the second part.
Of course, he cried pretty bad but was over it 5 minutes later and had absolutely no reaction (to the vaccinations either).
I figured I would much much rather deal with 2 or 3 minutes of freaking out crying than a toddler with the flu.

DS got his 1st round at 9 months & 2nd round at 10 months.
DH got his at work...I still need to get mine, though.
