How long did you wait?

I'm still in line over here and it's after 8 on the East Coast. I am kicking myself for not thinking to bring road sodas! Ha ha.

How long did you wait...if you've voted already?

Re: How long did you wait?

  • No wait.I have never had to wait, but I live in Iowa. I vote at the middle school and forgot that they get out at 3 instead of 3:30 and was ambushed by preteens. It still took me less than ten minutes.

  • I waited 45 minutes with Gavin in the Beco. (He wasn't allowed to return to daycare yet from being sick, so I was home with him.) I'm glad I went with Gavin in the afternoon though because tonight the line at our polling place was at least 1.5 hours.

  • Jealous! We've been here for an hour and I predict about another hour to go. Somebody in this line needs to make a packie run, stat.

Did you know you can't purchase alcohol in SC and KY on Election Day?  Prohibition Era laws still on the books.  LOL

Not in MS either. Shocking, I know.

To answer the post, I waited about 10 minutes. I went at 9 in the morning.

  • I voted early over my lunch hour and waited 30 minutes. d
  • maybe 5 minutes. There was a bunch of old ladies running the table where they look up you name, have you sign and give you the ballot. They were very nice but very slow. There was only 4 people or so in front of us in line.

  • No alcohol on election day?!  Good thing that doesn't apply in MA, because I definitely stopped and picked up some wine on the way home from waiting 2 hours and 15 minutes in line to vote!

  • 5 mins. the volunteers or polling people at my place were unorganized. They couldn't find DH's name, and it was right under mine, and that took a while, which caused a long line for those behind us.
  • I went around 9 after dropping LBB off at daycare. From car back to car it took about 30 minutes.

  • took me longer to unbuckle/buckle Layla from the carseat than it did for me to vote. But I live in a town of less than 1000 people.

  • I didn't wait at all, and I know we live relatively close to each other. I think I timed it right, though. I walked over to the library where the voting was held about a half hour before the schools let out, so no one was really there yet.

Only 2 or 3 states still have this law on the books.  More did in 2008 but they have since repealed the law.
