I'm working on a 3 across in my
2011 Highlander. Have read all the car seat manuals as well as the car
manual. DD is in a Britax Frontier, and I was hoping to install it in
the middle seat - It is flat on the seat, but because of the capability
of captains chairs in the car, the sides of the bottom base are not snug
on the seat cushion... is this a problem? I was thinking DD in the
center of the 3 across was the safest route because I'm afraid DS will
try to feed the new baby, etc. if he is sitting next to her. He is in a
narrower Radian RXT, does it make more sense for him to be in the middle
position? Or the baby on the way in the center? TIA
Re: RP: Britax Frontier Installation/Configuration issue
I would contact a car seat saftey expert and go with whichever one fits the best in the middle based on the expert's advice. As for worrying about your son feeding the baby can?t you just refrain from letting him eat or having anything like toys in the car? DD does not play or eat/drink in the car and is fine but I know some kids get bord easily so that is why I am asking.
Thanks - I was going to take the car to get it checked out once the seats were somewhat installed. For the most part the kids are good without snacks, drinks, etc. in the car, but we are frequently going into the city which is an 1.5 hour trip each direction, or on long weekend car trips... which we'll probably scale back on which #3 is here, but we shall see. I'm just at the point of over thinking everything!
