Get out there and do it! If for no other reason, take your LO to the polls so they can say they "participated" in their first presidential election! I don't care who you vote for. I don't care if you cast an empty ballot*. Just get out and vote!!!

*I think just going out and casting a ballot is important. Maybe it's dumb, but even if you don't agree with any candidate and don't want to vote for one, I still think an empty ballot is a powerful (okay, maybe not really) and fortunate thing that we get to do. (And you know, there's more to vote on than just the President and other politicians....your area probably has all sorts of Props and Bonds...) Honestly, now that we have LOs, I think knowing the issues and voting is more important than ever. And I have memories of going to the polling place with my mom when i was little.

I remember going to the booths as a kid too! My mom let us fill in the line for her when we were able to. I want DD to have those memories too so she knows how important it is. DH never has, and probably never will, vote. So I'm taking it upon myself to teach DD about voting.

Yes!! And holding one while waiting in line. He wanted down so bad but he would have taken off running.

I have a boba and it absolutely saved me! I can't imagine waiting in line for an hour holding a squirmy baby

Holy cow, you aren't lying! I strapped DS into his front facing carrier because he was overtired because we met the ILs for a late breakfast & it messed up naptime. It was crazy hard to bend down & fill in the bubbles for a heavy baby leaning forward too!

Totally worth it, though! DS rocked his "I voted" sticker on the front of his carrier Big Smile

I voted while DH sat in the car with baby... it was close to nap time and honestly would have been a mess trying to deal with him and get stuff done...especially since I had to do a paper ballot. If I was like so many others in my state with a 3 hour wait, I honestly wouldn't have gone/would have turned around. I think they need to make a much more efficient system with more polling stations in anticipation of those lines
