Elfster challenged....

This is my first time using Elfster. I clicked on the link and RSVP'ed as "yes", but then I am looking at the list on the right and it is saying "Elsa" is still under "waiting for reply". And then at the same time under those who are participating, it is showing my real first and last name.

Im totally confused. Is it supposed to look like that?

Re: Elfster challenged....

  • If you were sent an email and did it directly from an email then NO

If you were sent an email but instead signed up using the site then yes

Edit: when I go onto the site, you are Accepted and not in the pending/invite pile

gotcha! I see that it finally switched over and shows me listed as involved and my full name has been taken off.

When I sent you the invite I did not associate your email address with your real life name just your screen name.

I saw that. When I clicked on the link. And then I set up an account and it was all wonky, with my full name on the "yes" list and "Elsa" still as "waiting". But it looks like it corrected itself about 30min after I had joined Elfster.

  • I feel like I need a "Elfster for Dummies" explanation of what to do.  Do I make a list of things we need?  Each person picks what item they want to buy someone?

  • You will get an email when we have drawn names.

You can make a wishlist.  To write something on your list pick text.  You can search for products through elfster and you can link something from another site to your wishlist as well.

The wishlist is where I would write your preferences, such as no ornament.  You can be as detailed as you want, but your elf will usually ask questions to figure out what you want.  If someone has asked you a question elfster sends you an email.

Thank you! and now I'm hungry for lefse.
