When I put in the first day of my last period Oct 3 it estimates my due date as July 10. When I put in my date of ovulation Oct 20, CD 18 it estimates my due date as July 13. I know this is just because I ovulated a bit later but, which date will my doctor go by? Which one are you all going by if yours differed a bit?
Just curious.

Re: Ovulation Date vs EDD
This! My EDD based on LMP is June 27th, but based on O date it's July 11th.
I haven't been to the doctor so I don't know what they'll want to go by, but I think I'll just say "mid" July because you don't really want people hounding you if you are late or early all the time.
But I do think by ovulation is better than LMP since I have longer cycles 35 days, not 28 days.

I O'ed on CD20 as well, so EDD based on LMP would be June 29, vs. July 4 based on O date. I just saw my doctor for the first time today; he asked about my LMP, but also how long my cycles are, and when I told him when I O'ed based on BBT, he just entered both dates in the note he was making.
I wouldn't bother with lying about it like PP suggested. It just doesn't seem like a great way to start off that relationship (but I might feel differently if my doctor was more skeptical about charting). The advice I got from other people on TB when asking about this same issue was basically that it won't matter a whole lot after they start doing ultrasounds, because they'll adjust the EDD based on how the baby is measuring in the u/s anyway.

I love my rainbow baby!
This totally confuses me...
LMP was Sept 27th which means I ovulated Oct 13th which is about right... but it says I am now 5 weeks 3 days pregnant... because it counts my pregnancy from Sept 27th... WHY lol ??
why I didn't put my marriage ticker and pregnancy ticker together because it looks like we got pregnant before our wedding on Oct 6th (which we didn't lol) NOT that there is anything wrong with that!! LOL just saying... we didn't... lol
confused!
Make a pregnancy ticker
It's just your free two weeks. Most women understand that. Just say its a honeymoon baby and you'll be fine.

My LMP was Oct 1st, which would make EDD July 8th. But my O was Oct 21st, which gives me an EDD of July 14th. Now, my O may not be totally accurate according to FF. Either way, it's only about a week's difference. It's either a poppy seed or an apple seed. LOL.
There's really such a small chance that I'd actually deliver on the DD that it doesn't matter much to me at this point. But in my head, I'm going with the 14th.
With my first pregnancy I ovulated super late. It was 6 weeks difference between EDD based on my LMP and O date. When I went in for first appointment they thought I was 12 weeks.I had to explain that I O'd really late in the cycle, so they based my EDD on the O date, and confirmed it with U/s.
This time I also O'd later( not as late as first time) and told them that when I was making first appointment. They scheduled me to come in when I'm 7 weeks based on O date.
Crap... I should have thought of that...

The chances of someone taking the time to go back and figure out if you got pregnant before your wedding are pretty slim so I wouldn't worry about it.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have
....assuming she gets u/s. I know many women who only get one u/s--their AS. Pretty sure an OB wouldn't be butthurt about you giving a LMP date that makes your O date accurate.
ETA: It is usually the front desk girl that puts in the LMP also or the nurse. Neither of those positions are usually as educated on charting and how the body works as some OBs. But there are many OBs that don't know much about charting either. Instead of sitting there and trying to argue with them over it, it is much easier to just give them an LMP based off your O date being on CD14.
Also, for those that don't have many u/s, a difference in a few days can be big. Certain measurements need to be taken at certain times. A few days early or late can make a big difference. And for those that want to avoid being induced, even one day off can make a huge difference when your OB is pushing for an induction. I like to give accurate information and since they only use the LMP to see how far along you are, I don't see any harm at all in giving it based off of my O.
When I was pregnant with my son, my ob told me if the dates were closer than a week, she wouldn't change my EDD. So, with my LMP, my due date was Sept 17. But with my O date, it was Sept 21. She just left it at Sept 17th, after the early u/s said the 17th too.
This pregnancy is different because I have no idea when I ovulated. I'm guessing on it but I'm hoping the u/s next week will nail it down for me.
