Thanksgiving Crafts

Anybody doing any? If so, what are they?

I want to do some but can't think of anything but the hand shaped turkey.

I have glanced at pinterest a few times but didn't see much.

  • I want to do a felt thing like the Christmas tree with the turkey shape and feathers. Kinda pin the tail on the turkey.

  • Cut half a paper plate and let kids paint red and orange. Paint a toilet paper roll brown for turkey. Add eyes and a beak.

  • I have a few - I want to trace his hand with some fabric and make one of these.  I'd like to do it each year so we can have a bunch, or maybe do one of DH, one of me, and one of J.

I like the idea of the subway arts, like this and this.  Love this burlap print.  I think I'm going to get my nieces and nephews to make one of these for my mom.

Oh, I think I might have to try and make him this handprint tshirt.

  • I know this sounds really weird, but my family has a tradition of making a pineapple turkey for the centerpiece on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  My grandma made turkey heads out of felt stuffed with cotton balls basically, and we pin it on a pineapple so the tail is all the spikes.

See...weird.  But it is a tradition!
