We don't have any yet, but I'm going to suggest to my parents that they get Lily some for Hannukah this year (since we're building her play kitchen for then). I want the sets from Ikea. I like that they aren't plastic, but they look good.
Ikea stainless steel cooking set for 9.99 and plastic utensils 3.99
Ikea modern kitchen $100
Green Toys dish set (found on sale at Marshalls, normally ~$20 on Amazon)
I'm planning on buying Plan Toys and HABA food items but they are expensive and on the small side, so she probably won't get those until after she stops putting things in her mouth.

This. I really like Ikea's pots, pans and utensils. We have some of their stuffed food too. I hope to make a bunch of food (felt food and we have asked for the Melissa and Doug food items from my mom.

I have the Hape veggies and fruit. They are wonderful. All wood and toxin free. I ordered them from amazon and got 2 orders of each, if that makes sense? They come in these adorable knit bags he loves to carry and takes the fruit out of and when I received my order, I had 2 bags of veggies and 2 bags of fruit. I don't know if it was a glitch but I bought them at different times and got double order with both. We also have the hape pots, pans, dishes, utensils, salt and pepper and they are wonderful! So well made.
I may now also be in love with the Melissa & Doug stuff. But you can never have too much play food, right? (I had buckets and buckets full of play food as a kid; it was awesome and most of my childhood memories are associated with playing with my kitchen.)

I saw the sets on Ikea and now I am even more bummed since the prices are so good! the nearest Ikea to us is about 5-6 hours away.
ETA: I think I can get Melissa and Doug items at a store nearby so I should stop by and check those sets out.

My former nanny kids had Melissa and Doug food sets and LOVED them. We will probably get the same for Gator.
I feel bad for PP that doesn't have an IKEA close by....ours is 20min away and I am ADDICTED to that place!
