Any Creative Ideas Ladies?

Hi beautiful momma's to be!  This is my 1st time being prego and I'm so excited to join this page with other July '13 expecting mommas - yay! 

I'm an only child and VERY close to my parents,  so I want to think of a special way to tell them they are going to be grandparents. I thought of inviting them over for dinner and putting shirts on my 2 puppies that say - "You're going to be Grandparents" and see if they catch on  :)  Any other creative ideas?

    I would incorporate something in the meal. Either do the "baby themed meal" like baby carrots, baby back ribs etc (google for ideas) or do a pink/blue dessert/drinks. GoodluckBig Smile

    If your family says grace before dinner that could be a lovely way! We plan on announcing during grace for Thanksgiving by giving thanks for our first lil one!! And, it is the only time there is any silence in our family (a loud bunch!) so we think it will be a nice way to let everyone absorb and find out at the same time. so exciting thinking of ways to announce :)

    I just told my parents outright both times so no ideas here, but Congrats on your pregnancy.

    Awww that's so wonderful congratulations!!! I'm usually so creative but for some reason I'm totally stumped. Congratulatios to your soon to be great-grandparents.

    DH and I are waiting to tell all of our parents on Christmas.  I have my eye on these ornaments that you can put the ultrasound picture in.  When we get to my parents on the 23rd (we live 3 1/2 hours from my parents) and my brothers get there who also live out of town, we will give it to them and tell them it is a holiday decoration they might want before our christmas eve party.  This will be my parent's first grandchild so I can't wait!

    Hi!  We just found we are pregnant too!  We plan to tell everyone at Christmas as well.  We are moving to Egypt in January (I know, perfect timing right?) so Christmas will be already emotionally charged.  My husband and I are going to get a video camera.  A friend of ours is a photographer and is going to do a shoot for us so that we can mail a "Merry Christmas . . . from the THREE of us" to those that are not in town.  And then I plan on setting the photos to music and the last part will be a video clip from us at our ultrasound hearing the heartbeat for the first time and then something like "Baby {last name} due July 2013" at the end.  We'll set up our recorder somewhere to record everyone's reactions to it too.  We are so excited!
