Georgia Babies

What are the go-to baby stores in Atlanta?

I live near Savannah but am planning an extended family trip to Atlanta for the spring.

One of the things we're trying to figure out is where to shop for everything baby related.  So what are your go-to baby stores?

The ones on our short list are:

Ikea

Land of Nod (Crate and Barrel) (is there one in Atlanta?)

Pottery Barn Kids

Bellini

  • My go-to store for basic baby supplies is Buy Buy baby in Alpharetta ...I can't think of anything baby related this store doesn't have....their inventory is huge! There is a Crate & Barrel store nearby.

  • I forgot to mention that I am not sure if there is a Baby section in this Crate & Barrel, but North pointe mall is nearby and Pottery Barn Kids is located inside that mall.

  • There is no Land of Nod here (only in IL, WA and NY). New Baby Products is another store to visit, on Cheshire Bridge.

And B Braithwaite is another one.

  • Thanks Maria and fricb for the store recs.

I kept getting conflicting results when I google searched Land of Nod.

  • Buy Buy Baby is a great alternative to Babies R Us.

    b. braithwaite and Seed Factory are wonderful.

IKEA is great and totally overlooked. We bought SO much stuff there for her.

We ordered our nursery bedding set from Land of Nod online, but no local store here.

  • B Braithwaite is my favorite boutique baby store. I love seed factory too.

For big stores, New Baby Products and Ikea. If you plan to go to Ikea on saturday or sunday go when they first open. That place is insanely packed on the weekends.

  • Ditto Ikea and New Baby Products.  I'd start with Ikea and get what you can because their stuff is so less expensive than anywhere else.  New Baby Products is fabulous and they have very helpful people that work in the store.  I think it's particularly good for strollers and carriers.

I'm not a huge Pottery Barn Kids fan, but that's likely just me. If you'd like a big box store, I like Buy Buy Baby better than BRU.

These would be my recs too and I'm sad about no Land of Nod also, I wish!

  • Mine is definitely Once Upon A Child! The place rocks. They have TOP-QUALITY gently used/donated baby items at super discounted prices. They have strollers, car seats, toys, clothes galore, baby gear, blankets, etc. everything is very well organized and clean also. Not like Goodwill where you kind of have to fish through everything. A lot of the clothes still have the original tags on them. There are 5 locations in ATL Metro but the best one IMO is in Roswell on Alpharetta Hwy ( just past the Walmart on Mansell Rd). They have a website too.
