We bought an IKEA Birkeland dresser for our guest room/future nursery and it wasn't until we unpacked it that I realized it's not true white but more of an off-white/cream.
I'm concerned that since the crib will eventually go right next to it, I won't be able to find one that matches. These sorts of things tend to annoy me. I can probably live with them both not matching our true white trim (or find a trim to match for just that room), but I want them to match each other.
I don't love the IKEA Gulliver crib, but if it matches I'd settle for it. Is the Gulliver the same color as the Birkeland?
Anyone know of other magically matching white-ish cribs that we could consider?

This happened to us, too. We were planning on buying the Hemnes dresser, but it was a little too tall to use as a changing table/dresser for the nursery (I am on the short side). We bought the Birkeland instead, but noticed it was more of an off-white color. Our cribs are pure white (Graco Lauren), as is our shelving unit (IKEA Expedit) so I was worried about everything matching.
Now that everything is set up in the room, you would never notice that the dresser is a slightly different white. By the time you factor in light sources from windows, lamps, etc. (which affect how the walls/furniture look at different times of day), you can't even tell the furniture is not exactly the same. I am very picky about these things, too.
If you are dead set on everything matching exactly, though, then I would go with pp's suggestion and bring a tiny piece of the dresser with you when you go to buy the crib in order to compare colors.
I have that dresser, and have the Graco crib. You are right, the whites don't match completely. Mine aren't right next to each other, but I guess it just doesn't bother me that much. The prices were too good for me to fret about it much, and to be honest, this is furniture for babies & toddlers. If we get through the next few years without any of the furntiure being covered in red crayon, I'll take that as a win.
I'll buy the nice matching bedroom sets when the kiddos are older, more responsible, and want to pick out the style they want for themselves.
