Can you please recommend your favorite nursing bras and tanks? Please be as specific as possible and tell me why you like them (just trying to get as much info as possible).
I've heard the Gilligan & O'Malley tanks at Target are good - but no one can tell me specifically which ones.
I'm
looking to wear the bras under my pull down tanks that I already have
and looking to get some snap open tanks to wear under my long sleeve
tees (non-nursing). I definitely need something comfy and I need to
stock up, so hopefully not $50+...unless you swear to me it makes a
difference
If you have any recommendations for comfy sleep bras, please share those as well.
Thanks so much!
Re: XP: Nursing bras & tanks
That's probably because they're all the same, other than small details like color and whatnot.
as for bras, last time around I loved my bravado body silk bras.
Is there a specific GO style at Target? I bought non-underwire, underwire, and 'sleep' bras all nursing style that are that brand from there. And I bought several GO tanks - some have lace trim and some don't. But otherwise, all the style/material is the same - soft jersey material, with clips at the shoulders (except the sleep bras, which are more like deep V neck sports bras that you can pull to the side to access the boob).
I stocked up on several when they went on sale at some point last time.
I like my G&O ones from Target. I have the regular bras with the snap open cups. A lot of people recommend their sleep bras, but they aren't very comfy on the neck. (My opinion and that of others on my BMB.)
I like my G&O tanks too. I have the plain snap down ones. I also have one which is more v neck where the chest part looks like it overlaps (can't describe it well). It isn't the snap kind; it is the pull to the side kind. I love that one and wear it to bed instead of a sleep bra.
Bravado so far is my favorite. The GO night ones at target are too snug on me. I'm currently a 38D. ( normally a 34B)
The target tanks, both that you listed are good for lounging around at home and I lived in them without a bra for the first couple weeks PP with DD. But if you want to layer them under things or even wear them out... they are very thick and the straps are very wide. I don't think there really are specific ones, I think the only difference is a full sling or side sling (whether it unlatches and your boob sticks through a hole or it just hangs out with a bit of fabric on the side of it... I wear the side sling ones). There was one motherhood tank that I liked, it was light pink with lace at the top edge... but all the other ones, although they're not as thick as most, they are very very long and shapeless.
The only nursing bra that I have found that I love is from Motherhood Maternity, https://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=911600361&MasterCategory_Id=MC29 the ladies there also said it's one of he most popular, and I like that it's comfortable, the straps aren't terribly wide and it's pretty... it feels like a normal bra which is rare unless you're going to spend $50+.
