One more question... I didn't have to take hardly any narcotics with my first CS but I'm still taking Percocet with this one. My incision looks great and there is nothing wrong. I've been taking ibuprofen which helps with the cramping with BF and just general discomfort. I have still been taking Percocet and had my dr refill it because this nerve pain, sharp, itching, burning from the inside out is horrible and Percocet is the only thing that's worked so far.
I'm 2.5 weeks PP so I know I'm still recovering. I guess I just wasn't expecting the discomfort to last this long because if didn't seem like it did with my 1st?
So, my question since I forgot to add it! Lol sleep deprivation... What works for your pain? I haven't taken the narcotics for a day now and really don't want to take them anymore. Are any of you having the same pain?
TIA you ladies are awesome!

Re: Itching/burning incision pain
What is your question? Are you asking if the itching/burning is normal?
I had some itching with mine, but I get off the narcotic meds ASAP because they give me crazy dreams. I'd rather be driven crazy by itching and burning than deal with the side effects from the meds.
Did they sew you up differently than the first? Maybe that is why it's different...or maybe just because it's your second and you have more scar tissue.
Some itching is normal, but I can't imagine itching badly enough to need such strong meds. Maybe someone else will had a similar experience.
Added my question in too. My OB said its just the nerves waking up again along with the healing that causes the pain and itching. Probably exaggerated by RCS and scar tissue. I got the ok to use vitamin E or neosporin so maybe Ill try that.
He used the same internal sutures but I wasn't closing how he liked so he used staples which was different than before. I had keloid before but this scar looks amazing! And the staples came out at 1 week.
I think some of it has to do with 1 I didn't have anything else to do but rest and relax. This one I have a toddler too and even though MH is home he needs a break too.
I was trying to guess your question in my other response...looks like I totally missed it.
I switched to the big prescription ibuprofen pills....I think they're something like 800mg, so bigger than you can get at the store. You just have to make sure not to take them on an empty stomach because that can cause stomach irritation.
Oh thank God! I have been taking IBU 2 to 3 times a day and then the Percocet like 1 or 2 times a day usually in the AM or before bed. But, maybe I just needed to post about it on here because knock on wood but today I've had barely any burning! Itching yes but no burning.
