Anyone have any clue about mediation forms being turned in after the agreement? You sign, you mail or take back into the mediators office for them to take to a judge.
what if one party is not turning theirs in? why wouldn't they have a time limit? its been 3 weeks since the medation date between DH and BM and he called the mediators office today and they told him to try contacting BM and asking her why she hasn't turned them in. he sent an email stating that his are signed and were turned in and everybody is waiting on her. but she likes to ignore emails so who knows how long this will take....
any suggestions or answers as to how long these things can take? a holiday schedule was set in stone finally and we'd LOVE for it to happen before thanksgiving to make this holiday season start off smoothly!
Re: another mediation question...
The only thing you can do is call her and try to get her to sign. Mediation is probably ordered by the judge but if nothing is signed and turned in by the next court date no one will be in trouble it will just mean you will move to a trial
well she has personally emailed back and forth with DH about thanksgiving that he can have them the first half of the day. i'm pretty sure she agreed to it because her family isn't planning their meal until that evening this year. oh well, we'll take what we can get obviously. so we know we will get them but the plan as of now is so dumb...
because we work around her work schedule, accordingo to the schedule this month, we would return the children to her at 8pm the wednesday night before and then they agreed for DH to get them back at 11am the next morning. i tried telling him that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard of and we should just keep them overnight. he says he doesn't want to push it and make her mad. i don't see how thats even convenient for her. she has to pick them up 30 min prior to their bedtime, put them in bed, get them up and feed them and get them ready to go back to us? why not just leave them at dads and we do that.......just doesn't make sense and if the papers get signed and turned back in, in time, then we would be keeping them cause the CO will say then that dad has them from 5pm the previous night until the next day at whatever scheduled time.
last time we did this was the 4th of july. she always keeps them that day so he asked for them at lunchtime since we had some family over. well the night before she made sure we dropped them off at 8pm to her and then we picked them up again at 10am the next day. SS was confused (4 years old) and kept asking why we dropped them off and picked them up again so soon.
i just hope she signs them and is decent about it all. going to court over a holiday schedule is just silly.
haha i know!! I just can't figure out why some people would rather invconvenience themselves and children...for no reason at all. she's not proving anything to us except she's being an idiot.
