Question about buying used dipes

Before I get too sucked into DS, how do you go about washing used dipes? I don't have any that I've bought used yet, but I know you can get some great deals and I'm open to it. I'm just confused if it would be a normal hot wash or how many more steps. Thanks :)

    Normally, I wash them as normal, because they're clean and in good shape.  The last two I got, however, were stinky.  Blah.  I did a cold wash with my detergent and dawn, a hot wash with the same and like 2 more hot washes w/out detergent at all.  :|  I hope I don't get any more stinky ones.  People should really tell you that, IMO.  I wouldn't have paid what I did.  I'll be sure to ask from now on.

    I just wash them like normal, I throw them in with my used dipes, so they get one wash before I use them. I never had a problem with stinky dipes, I have had some stains that I can't get off, but that is it. Most people take pretty good care of their dipes, but I have also had some issues lately with DS and people not describing things correctly.

    Ditto the others - I just throw them in with a load of my dirty diapers.  I've never had an issue with any I've bought, though.
