    It's snowing :D

    Also, our LOs are all entering a really fun and interesting age now that they're become more aware and capable. I can't wait to see where her new developmental milestones bring us!

    DD just noticed our dogs! They have always been near her/around her but she never really had any interest in them. This weekend she was sitting on my lap and they both came up to say hi to her and she started squealing and giggling! Every time they lick her she laughs now and I found her in her saucer 'talking' to one of them this morning! Amazing!

    Also - I got DD on a few great waiting lists for daycare that aren't years long! (Where we are the waiting lists for daycare are often 2+ years long). HURRAH!

    It was so heartwarming to watch DD1 "playing" with DD2. I had DD2 on her playmat this morning and DD1 goes over and lays next to her and she was showing her the toys dangling from from overhead. Love watching their bond grow!

    K started saying consonant sounds this weekend!  I love that her first one is mama (I know she's not actually saying mama - just the sound but it's still cute).  DS said dada and baba for a long time before he said mama so I'm taking this as a win.

    ETA - n/m the video isn't working :(

    My DS did that this weekend to...he was over tired and was making sounds and said, " ma ma ma mom.."  He did it twice on different days... I know he doesnt know what he's saying...still sooo cute!  :)

    Before going on maternity leave, I worked full-time at a well paying job with lots of perks. I also worked on-call for an organization I had previously volunteered with. When I went on mat leave I knew I wouldn't be going back to my on-call position because I couldn't be taking calls or rushing off to cover a shift in the middle of the night. Recently, I've been entertaining not going back to my full-time job either and looking for something part-time when I get near the end of my mat leave. Well my on-call boss called last week and said they nixed the on-call program but she has a different (much more exciting), part-time position for me to come back to. That pretty much made up my mind. I'm going to work part-time once my mat leave is up and I'm so excited, and because of some big changes there, I'll also have access to some perks and lots of opportunity for when I'm ready to work full-time again.

    I have theee worst singing voice ever. Yet, when I sing to dd, she looks at me like its the best thing in the world. That makes me smile!:)
