Finally Introducing...PIP

I have been lurking since the babies were born but haven't had time to post... My twins were born by c-section September 25, at 37 weeks and 1 day. DD weighed 6 lbs, 5 oz, and DS weighed 4 lbs, 14 oz. We were surprised at that because at my 35 week u/s they were both estimated to be 6 lbs. We moved my scheduled c-section up a week due to pre-eclampsia--I had spent the previous weekend in the hospital for observation. The babies were great and neither one s pent time in the NICU I ended up needing a transfusion and received two units of blood that night, but felt so much better the next day. I think 37 weeks was just the right time for me to have them--any earlier and obviously they would be pre-term and DS would be so tiny; any later and I most likely would have had more complications myself. I've spent the last six weeks delirious from lack of sleep, but I'm so happy to have my little darlings! They're so sweet even when they're screaming their heads off!
