  • Talk to your doctor.

  • You'll have to find a doc to do it (which may be your biggest challenge), but I just read that the more sections you have the more important a VBAC is.  Watch More Business of Being Born, the VBAC episode if you can!

I'm going for a VBAC... let us know what you decide!

  • Were can I find that so I can read on that???
  • It is definitely hospital/doctor specific.  My midwife is thumbs up VBAC on 2 previous cesareans and depending on the specific circumstances of the previous complications.

  • There's a lot of factors that go into it. Talk to your doctor.

  • My hospital doesn't do them due to liability issues.

More Business of Being Born is on Netflix.

I'm sorry I am looking for the article I read but can't find it.  Mostly what I have found online is that VBA2C is safe in many cases, but haven't found much on 3+.  I know that the placement of your scar(s) and reasons for previous c-sections will be some of the factors in determining whether or not you are a good candidate.

You might want to try to see if you can find a nurse-midwife instead of an OBGYN...one who delivers in a hospital where, if needed, they could get you prepped and ready for a section if needed.

Like other PPs suggested, you'll have to talk to your doc about it.

  • I'm hoping my doctor will let me try a VBA2C. I do not want to go through another csection. My second was terrible. :/
