Hi Ladies. I am on my first medicated cycle with gonal-f. I've been super tired and kinda out of it. Not sure if this is a normal side effect or something I should be worried about. Tia.
Iui #1 = unmedicated = bfn. Iui # 2 = clomid 50 mg = bfn. Iui # 3 = clomid 50 mg = bfn. Iui # 4 = unmedicated = bfn. Iui # 5 = unmedicated = bfp - miscarriage at 5 wks.
Iui #6 = nov 2012 = gonal f 75, endotrim 100= chemical pregnancy/bfn
Re: Side effects
I haven't been on Gonal-F but I have been on Follistim, which is the same hormone. How long have you been on it? Does the drug information that came with the meds mention side effects? I found side effects here, and they don't mention fatigue, but it's always hard to tell if fatigue is caused by something else going on in your life. I do think by the time I had been on Follistim for a week or so I was getting more tired than usual, but it's hard to say if that's an effect of the Follistim or the Lupron, which I was on at the same time, or if it was the fact that my body was tired from maturing so many eggs, which should not be the case on an IUI cycle.
If fatigue is severe, it's never a bad idea to check with your doctor, but if you're just feeling a little more tired than usual, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hi
I did a bunch of Clomid Cycles and then one IUI cycle on injectibles. I was on Follistim, which is the same. It sucked. I was tired all the time, I gained 20 pounds, and I was dizzy every time I moved. Now, none of those are "normal" side effects according to my doctors- it wasn't the drug, but I called a pharmacist who noted that while there are tiny percentages of folks who experience the dizzyness etc.
Good luck. I hope it works for you. I gave up on it and we made a decision to adopt rather than put my body through the hell of infertility treatments. I figured IVF and adoption roughly cost the same, and I'd rather adopt.
