still carrying around baby weight

Dear Baby Weight,

It's been a year!!!  Go away!!!

Anyone else still carrying around baby weight?  I have about 12-14lbs to go.  I have been trying to lose the same 12-14lbs for months. The spare tire around my middle is just so attractive.....said no one ever!!! I am so frustrated and discouraged.  I am getting in exercise....aerobics, spinning, kickboxing.  I amd desperate at this point.  All I think about is my prepregnancy clothes and losing this weight.  And when I say all i think about I mean it is all I think about.  Please someone out there have so encouraging words for me!

  • The best you can do is to exercise and control what you are eating. Your body will forever be changed, it is time to accept your new shape and concentrate on making it strong.

    Also I know this is easier said than done, but try to think of how healthy you are by doing all of that exercise too.  I know it can be frustrating when you are not losing the weight and looking better on the outside, but believe me your insides are thanking you for being so active!  Maybe set a goal to do a 5K or something so you can feel the results of your accomplishments and see what great shape you are in (even if the weight isn't coming right off?)

  • I know it's frustrating!!!  Back in May, I started Weight Watchers and within 8 weeks I had lost the last of my baby weight (15 lbs).  I weigh less now than before I was pregnant!  Personally, I can't bring myself to do the meetings, so I did WW Online and it was easy and fun!

  • I'm still up about 5 lbs.  The one thing that I have found that works when nothing else did was myfitnesspal.com.  It was the ONLY way I could keep track of calories which were what was keeping my weight on.  It didn't matter how much I worked out - if I was eating more than I was burning I wasn't going to lose it.
