What is your favorite lullabye?
My mother used to sing me this song called "God Made You", I still remember her singing it to me before bed every night. It's followed all of my cousins and siblings. It goes like this:
Who are you? I'm special. Who are you? I'm me. Who made you, so special? God made me. I can do all sorts of things, that are really quite unique. Tell me please can you play hide and seek. Who are you? I'm special. Who are you? I'm me. Who made you, so special? God made me.
It meant the world to me and I hope it will to our baby as well.
Re: Off topic poll/question
I dont remember any of the lullabies. I know my mom and I used to sing "you are my sunshine", but that was when I was much older..
Currently I am in search of a spanish lullaby.. That way I can incorporate DH's native language and he can sing it too.
My mom use say:
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep;
And I die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
My dad made up one. Short and sweet!:
Oh my Katie, she's my pretty baby, how I love my pretty Katie girl.
i used to make my mom sing me puff the magic dragon haha
i loved that song
just shows that she grew up in the 60s
