  No power since Monday and temps in the 40s sucks. We spent a few nights home, two with my Mom and one at a hotel. Happy to be home and warm with happy kids. Feeling very grateful although throwing out of food sucks especially since frozen strawberries, ice pops, rice and chicken juice/bike melted and spilled everywhere, lesson learned and will clean it out sooner if ever faced again.

   

  Thats great that you finally have power, but its a bummer you had to wait as long as you did.

  On another note, do you have personal property insurance? I know when we were faced with a similar situation in July a friend told us to check out our coverage. I didnt even realize that the insurance covered lost food due to an outage. We were able to get out groceries reimbursed.
