Out Of Sorts After Shots?

DS had his 1 year shots almost 2 weeks ago. He had the normal reaction to the MenC PneuC shots. He was a little crabby that night and had a slight fever. I gave him Tylenol and we went about our business. Everything was good.
He also had his MMR vaccine on the same day. The nurse explained it was a slow acting virus and I may see a delayed reaction. Sure enough, about 4 days ago he started acting "off". He has started drinking a lot more and eating less which is very unlike him, he's very crabby and clingy, nothing makes him happy and he developed measles like spots a couple days ago. I'm just wondering if anyone else's LO had a similar reaction? If so, how long did it last?
If it persists much longer, I may take him in to the Pedi to rule out something like an ear infection. He seems to be rubbing his ear, but this is the same kid who smacked his own forehead for entertainment, so I'm trying not to read too much into that. I just don't want to waste everyone's time if it is just a run of the mill shot reaction. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm hoping there's a light at the end of this whiny, cranky tunnel. Sigh.

Could it be that a phase and the shots started around the same time?
Levi went through a 2-3 week phase where he was clingy,extra cranky, My monkey man who held on to my leg all day long. Then he got his shots and he continued with his phase for another week.
I finally have my lovable boy back now
