That's probably nearly twice what he gets when he nurses, FYI. The flow of a bottle is MUCH faster (even with a slow-flow nipple) and baby can't really regulate it like with nursing. So unless you stopped every oz to burp him & give him time to recognize signs of fullness, it's likely that he just over-ate a bit. DS never took more than 4oz of breast milk from a bottle, ever, and he took bottles of BM until he was 8 months old. Even on formula, he rarely took more than 6 oz at a time.

We did stop every ounce and burp and wait for further hunger queues. I only filled the bottle with 2 oz and then added just one ounce everytime he wasnt statisfied.
