What can I do besides try to suction, putting a rolled blanket under 1 side of crib...although not sure how that will work now that he rolls and flips all over the place... and using a humidifer. He is SO congested. Poor guy.
We also use the Vick's waterless vaporizer - the scent seems to help a lot.
We use these too. Also, we use a little baby Vicks on our kids feet and put socks on and that seems to work really well. It's an OWT, but I think it's a good one.

vicks on the feet here too! i like to suction wtih the nose freida MUCH better suction and clears them out better. Only had one cold w her last winter but sitting in the bathroom while someone takes a hot shower breathing in the steam helps alot followed by suctioning. If not use baby saline mist to loosen the mucous before suctioning.
We do the Vick's on the feet (and chest) as well. And we LOVE the NoseFrida. Someone on my BMB mentioned the importance of changing the filters on those - she said that when she started using it she noticed that she and her H were getting sick more often and wondered if that was part of the reason. We change the filter each day now.

little colds puts out a all natural vicks version and I use this on my ds's chest and back. steam the bathroom right before bath helps loosen up the mucus. nasal spray and if it has been more than a few days you can see about albuteriol to help break up the mucus. good luck

We've been going through this for the last week too. I've been doing the baby saline mist up the nose, then suctioning, baby vick's on his chest, back and feet and giving him baby advil and hyland's has a homeopathic cough syrup I give at night. He's been doing a lot better, hope everyone feels better!
