Preemies

Angel care monitor

Any preemie moms use one of the angelcare monitors for movement/breathing? My 34 weeker has brief desats and apnea spells. I know he needs to go a week apnea free to come home. I thought this might help my worries once he is home.

Re: Angel care monitor

  • Yes, I use it with my preemie and I used it with her older sister who is not a preemie. Totally saves my sanity.  My favorite baby product by far.

Only downside is that it can only be used with a flat surface, such as a crib.  We have the Snuza Go movement monitor for the daytime to cover when she's in her rock n play or bouncer.  These two devices prevent lots and lots of worry and breathing checks!

  • I have a snuza also. I feel like you get a lot less false alarms with snuza than angelcare. I like ours a lot.

  • Thanks for the recommendation! I bought the snuza hero this morning.

DS is day two no spells.

  • Love our Angel Care Monitor - I noticed it stop doing false alarms once we got the plywood down. It really is an amazing thing and helped me finally get some rest.

  • Another vote for the Snuza.  That things saved my sanity.
