If you use gas drops...

How often do you use them? DS often umps his legs and gets grunty/squirmy after he eats, regardless of if its formula or BM. It happens maybe more at night, but very frequently round the clock. He will eventually get big toots out and calm down but it takes a while and sometimes the toots aren't enough. I'm thinking we should try mylicon, but was wondering how often you use it?

As often as she needs. Some days it seems like every feed. Some days I don't use them at all.

We did it at every feeding. If you can give it 5-10 minutes before the feeding, it works a bit better. However, when I made up his night bottles, I'd just put in into the bottle.

I am going to tack onto the thread too, because I don't know for sure that they are effective. What brand of drops are you using? We have the little tummies brand. Any feedback on one brand over another?

We just used generic. They all have the same active ingredients.

We use the little tummies brand and I give it to him as needed. It works great when he has the hickups. During feedings if I notice he seems a bit fussy and is grunting Ill give him some mid way through and give it a few minutes before I give him the rest of his bottle.

DD had terrible problems with gas. When she was younger we gave it with every feeding as she got older we started doing it twice a day and then just before bed. I just recently stopped giving them to her altogether.

We use them as needed. When he's doing his grunting, I pay attention to whether or not he's actually getting anything out. I'd say give them if he's really having a hard time getting gas out. The drops are supposed to make the gas bubbles smaller so they can pass them easier. There's no restrictions as to how many doses can be given in a day.

Us, too. Huge price difference, the Target brand are like $3 cheaper!

So far we've only used them once (we just got them last night), right before feeding her.

We use the Target brand and use as needed. I give them to him after feedings since he doesn't always need them. I also use Gripe Water.

I use Mylicon drops and it says on the package up to 12 times per day. We've never needed them that much though. Usually only 3-4 times per day but as often as needed.
