Warning labels on cribs

How the heck do you get these off? I put our Ikea crib together yesterday and it has labels along the front about suffocation and your infant. Will just warm water and patience do it? DH says he doesn't think I am supposed to remove them, but they are God awful and cannot stay lol.

Re: Warning labels on cribs

  • Are you supposed to remove them? All of the ones on our crib do not show once the mattress is on or are on the back of the headboard...

    Henry Cavill...You're welcome!

  • These ones are very obvious. On the top of the rail at the front of the crib.

they are not intended to be removed.

but OP, if they bother you that much, try Goo-Gone. It takes stickers off of almost anything, even wood.

  • I know they should stay on. But there are already warning labels on the mattress support. PLUS they are on both sets of rails so there are more on the back of the crib against the wall.
I managed to get the ones I wanted off.

Here is a picture of what I meant. There was no way I was just going to leave them there!

  • Mine were a lot smaller so I just peeled as much as I could off then used a cloth with warm water and it took the rest off

  • Peel them off the best you can and then use a magic eraser on the rest. Works like a charm!

  • Use a hair dryer on it for 30 seconds to a minute to loosen the adhesive and pull it off.  If the paper starts to tear hit it again with the hair dryer.  It should come off pretty easily with little to no residue.  If there are little parts that didn't come off soap and warm water or goo gone should do the trick.

FYI - the hair dryer trick works on stickers on just about anything, I use it all the time and it really saves me a lot of elbow grease.
