Re: Bed resters, what's the high point of your Sunday?

  • High point for Sunday is football is on and my sister brought my fro-yo from Yogurtland :)

A recent pet peeve has been my MIL telling me that I look like I am gaining weight in my thighs. Really???? I am 24 weeks pregnant with twins and the heaviest weight I have ever been in my life. I'm not looking for compliments but how bout if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all? She seems to like to point out when I look bloated, which she did constantly during the IVF process.

  • High Point: Going through the shower gifts from my shower yesterday. Also, DH started painting the nursery! :)

GTKY: My pet peeve is when people can't take the time to respond to a text, email, or phone call... Text messages left unanswered irk me the most... Seriously, you can't find 30 seconds to respond? (I think this irritates me more now that I'm on bed rest and have nothing else to think about/do!)

  • Today out of desperation (no one else home) I took the dog to the dog park hoping that sitting on the bench there for a little would not be too much not resting. Might have over done it a little but it was so worth it to see how happy the dog was to finally go and play with his friends. (I used to take him 3-4 days a week, but now he just gets 30 min walk with the dog walker and it's not enough). It totally made my day and he has been passed out at my feet ever since.

My big pet peeve is people on their phones at the dinner table. Can't sending your text wait for 30 min while you are eating with actual people. There is a no phone at the table rule in our house it is one of the only things I really enforce.

  • DH built the shed today! Yay! Now we can start cleaning out the garage. By "we" I mean DH, w me supervising from a chair, lol.

Pet peeves: People who don't RSVP. And people who chew w their mouths open or slurp their drinks...Ew. Also people who can't use their turn signal. And the cell phone during dinner thing bugs me as well! I guess I have quite a few!

  • I had a bad, hormonal day today. Pretty much just sat and cried. I haven't had a day like this in quite a while so I guess I was due. I'm just upset I failed my glucose test, and I'm worried watching everything I eat will bring me back to dark times when my eating disorder flared up. I've already had major body issues this pg, so much so that I don't have a single pic of me pg. I'm really glad I have an appt with my therapist so I can try to get ahead of this, but it's just hard!

GTKY: I hate when it takes ppl three times as long to do something because they are taking their sweet ol time. I also hate having to ask DH to do things multiple times, but I have a feeling this is training me for motherhood!

  • Yesterday we put on the ornaments and brought a new table for the living room. It has storage space for LO's toys and books.

Pet peeves: DH has difficulty staying on track, he starts a project then moves on to something else without finishing the first one.

I understand... Someone on this board started a thread about this last week. There are a few of us here that struggle with this so you are not alone. Hang in there.

This drives me NUTS! Often DH will finish a project but leave all the tools and supplies for it out. Indefinitely. Then can't find them next time he tries to do something. Grrr!
