We're getting DD professional pictures done in a couple weeks and we never had them done before (not even as a newborn - I regret that now) and I was thinking of outfits and poses, etc. I was thinking about typical poses done by newborns and thought would it be inappropriate for a 6 month old to have her picture taken that shows her backside nude? When does it start to become inappropriate to take pictures of your child nude? Is there a specific law that states when it becomes child pornography?
Re: When is this inappropriate?
Child pornography is the visual representation of minors under the age of 18 engaged in sexual activity or the visual representation of minors engaging in lewd or erotic behavior designed to arouse the viewer's sexual interest.
After reading that ask yourself if you really think the pictures you want taken of your child would illicit that type of response or give off hat vibe. If not then I'd say you're safe. Also, professional photographers will not take pictures of children that they don't feel are appropriate.
Thank you all for the responses. I didn't want to suggest something like a bare bottom to the photographer and have them look at me like I was a sick mother, haha.
