In the last 2 weeks we have had our cat disappear, our dryer break, and me taking a horrible fall down the stairs. At my rheumatologist appointment last week they found some other stuff going on in my mid-back (I have been having a lot of pain there) and I need an MRI. On Wednesday night my washer sh*tted out on us and on Friday night our TV died. Our one toilet needs fixing too. It has been a really crappy 2 weeks and I hope this is the end of our bad luck. On the other hand I have power, my home, food and water unlike many people on the East Coast. I just keep trying to remind myself of that but it is hard sometimes.
Re: Trying to put things into perspective
My hat is off to you for dealing with bad luck, health issues, work, a one year old and a shiitload of other crap AND still thinking about others and reminding yourself that it could be worse.
All of this! Well said, Nita.
Thanks for the support everyone. I really needed to vent because I was feeling like I might blow my top. DH bought snow tires for my car about 1.5 weeks ago. Les Schwab swore they fit my car. When DH put them on today they wouldn't fit so now we have to return those and get another set.
On the bright side...we have a new TV now and we did 6 loads of laundry in 2 hours at the laundromat. I have to admit that it was nice not to spend all day doing laundry!
DH thinks we will just go buy a new washer tomorrow instead of trying to repair ours.
Thanks again for letting me vent and being so supportive!
