We also go through about 6 or 7 a day. We like pampers cruisers for day and night time. If you get the right size you won't have an issue with using the same brand at night...and DS pees a lot at night!
We CD during the day and use disposables at night since I couldn't find a CD combo that didn't leak. DS sleeps at least 12 hours a night and has continuous feedings so he goes a lot too. We use Luvs at night. DS is at the bottom of the weight bracket for size 3's and they work just fine as overnight dipes.
I would suggest doing some small test runs before you buy a bunch for the trip. With different skin sensitivities, fits, leaks better to figure out before on vacation. We go through about 7 per day, and we stick to Luvs. Tried others but rashes and leaks keep us away from anything but Luvs.

I'd bring a few more than you need, but you SHOULD be able to purchase diapers somewhere down there (especially since Mexico is one of Kimberly Clark's main production facilities).. I just can't imagine taking up suitcase space with the large box of diapers...
We use Target Up&Up. I'm very happy with them as a diaper and the price.
Charlotte sleeps at least 12 hours straight at night with the same diaper and no leaks. For eight days, I would probably bring 50-60. We go through about 5 a day but it's always good to have extra.

Same here, only that DS doesn't sleep for 12 hours.
Thanks everyone. I would rather get diapers here because we have arranged transportation straight from the airport to the resort and I doubt they would have them at the airport? Anyway if I bring them I will have lots of empty room on the way back for tequila. Or other souvenirs... No target in Canada and I've never heard of Luvs before TB either but I'll see if we have them here. I will have to try some pampers cruisers.
Cruisers are my first choice but they're twice as expensive as Target. So good choice.
But a few weeks ago when we were only using disposables we went through 8 diapers a day max (usually 6 or 7). So I think 72 is a good number... less if you're also using swim diapers. I have no experience with those.
DS is a bigger boy. He's 25 lbs and has chubby thighs. We highly prefer Pampers Cruisers (as he's forever moving). I haven't personally heard anyone complain about these. DS also sleeps through the night 12+ hours and we don't have leaks. We've been in size 4s. We've also had good luck with the Baby Drys by Pampers---but I'm not fond of the smell.
Hope you have a great trip!

We're JUST now switching over to cloth!
