What to swaddle large baby with?

So I realized all those nights of getting up every hour was because my DD isn't ready to be unswaddled yet. She is getting more difficult to swaddle because she is 26" and probably around 15-16lbs. I wanted to get the halo sleepsack swaddle, but they don't make them big enough.

I would love something that would allow me to swaddle her with one arm out (what we currently do)

any suggestions?

I actually find the Halo's to run large. DS is about the same size and he still fits fine in his. He even wore the premie size Halo Sleepsack until he was 10lbs with no problem.

We also have Swaddle Me's. I've managed to swaddle him with one arm out with those before too.

My DS is 24 lbs and we use the Aden and anais blankets which are big enough and a receiving blanket to do the escape proof swaddle method.. You can YouTube it ..you would be able to do that with an arm out. This was the only thing big enough to work for us.

How about make receiving blankets for your LO? The traditional receiving blankets that you can buy at the store are so small and don't last long. My MIL made large receiving blankets for both of my kids and they have lasted a long time. My DD is almost 4 months old and is still swaddled in the same receiving blankets since day 1. It's super easy to make receiving blankets and fabric stores have cute designs to choose from. Good Luck!

We do halos the nice thing about them is we can cut open the feet part when he gets to long.

We use the halo sleepsacks. It's just enough so the he feels like he's snuggled and his arms are free. We've been using then since he grew out of the halo swaddles. LOVE THEM!!

DS is th same height and weight. I started using the woombie when he grew out of the swaddle sacks. They make one that is for "big babies" 14-19lbs. It has arms holes that you can open to allow their arms free, one, both or neither. We have used this now for 4 nights and love it!

We were using the AA blankets but have recently switched to the miracle blanket. DS is the same size as your LO. He doesn't like having an arm out, but it's possible to with it.
