I was looking through the Halloween photos post (bunch of cuties!) and DH was over my shoulder.
He asked about DS, DD, SD, SS, and then was offended that bio-kids have the "dear" qualifier whereas stepchildren do not. I explained "dear___" was around long before the BF board, but he said it still isn't right.
Our LO is still little, so I still use LO for him. I haven't gone down the DS/SS road yet. I know some use DSS and DSD. To me, I just read "DS" not "Dear Son" anymore, so it's not really a worthwhile issue for me. DH had about a ten minute talk about it, though.
I told him he could join so you ladies could give him some feedback, LOL. God, I hope he doesn't.
Re: DH's perspective on "SS" vs "DS"
I vote we switch to numbers, lol
lol
I hate it when DH reads over my shoulder. He always has questions about abbreviations which leads to wanting to know whatever about this poster or that poster. And then he has an opinion, and we have to talk about it.
Yeah, for the purpose of this board we have to use stepwhatever.
That is what he suggested, and that was my reply, LOL.
"BM" has always made me giggle a little, but I had to get used to it first on the knot where it meant Bridesmaid.
