How was everyone's Halloween festivities?

Ours was alright... not too many tricker treaters though... maybe 30... tops...

but none the less, I still love this time of year, and will continue to put my stuff up. I set up a cemetery with grave stones, spider webs, bones and gate it off. Oh, and my 7ft tall Grim Reaper.  I had one kid say that a couple years ago my house scared the crap outta him... well, that said to me that I need to kick it up a notch and get more new stuff... I think next year, since everyone knows my reaper, I am gong to make my H a reaper costume and stand there like he is fake, then tap shoulders and what not...

  • We had a good night. I took my 2 year old trunk or treating at one of the local churches. He insisted on putting his costume back on this morning! We never get any trick or treaters because we live up a hill, but we did stop by my parent's house and I helped hand candy out there.

  • Pretty good actually! We weren't expecting many kids because it was cold and rainy here. We probably got close to 40 kids which made DH happy because he got to eat the leftover candy :P . Then we put LO down and sat up watching Nightmare Before Christmas eating popcorn. It was really fun for our "first halloween".

  • We had a good night we went to my parents like normal and trick or treated there. We were out for almost two hours. My two year old thought it was so fun and my 8 year old loves it. Lo did great in his moby facing out until the very end when he got hungry so we went back quickly and dh came back with the older two. Over all it was a blast but very tiring for all.

  • DD went to bed at 7ish so H and I made chicken stir fry and ate while watching 'It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown' and handing out candy.  We don't get a ton of trick-or-treaters but enough to keep us up and down out of our chairs for a while!  I definitely turned off our lights once I saw we only had 5 or so pieces of candy left...you know, so I could eat them... ;)

  • We took DD out trick or treating with my baby brother (he's only 9), and she did great! We were sure that she'd start to fuss about half an hour into it, but she was so happy almost the whole time! It was really fun :) We didn't collect any candy, but we wished lots of people a Happy Halloween and everybody loved her costume.

  • Our Governer here in NJ "rescheduled" Halloween for Nov 5 due to the destruction caused by Sandy so we spent our Halloween which is also our 3rd anniversary sitting! in the house with no heat or power which has been our status since Monday evening. i can't wait to dress up DS on Monday though!

  • Heh, that sounds so awesome.

I decorated only a little but I took DS out just for about an hour because my neighbors were excited to see him in a costume. He had a little Batman costume and even got a few pieces of candy which DH happily ate for him lol.

so sorry to hear that...and I hope you get power back soon! but thats awesome that they rescheduled it!!!

15 years ago we had a huge ice storm that cancelled Halloween here, and they didn't do anything about it... just let it be...

  • At least it was rescheduled sucks that the circumstances are bad but at least they didn't just disregard it.

  • We did alright. We made our rounds to everyone. Lol thqt would be awesome if you can pull that off with your husband hahaha i would probably pee my pants if i waloed up thinking it was a dummy and he tapped me hahaha thats a great idea
  • We had a great night too. We took Em trick or treating at the mall in her lady bug costume and then to her godmother's house. We collected candy but since she is BF I will happily eat the candy so she can have some too lol. I got lots of great pictures of her in her costume which will be great for her baby book if I ever get time to start it!
