  E was an October baby and the first grandchild on both sides, we gave all the grandparents a framed newborn picture.
  
  We'll probably do framed pictures again this year.

  I was thinking some sort of framed picture or maybe even a photo calendar through Shutterfly or something like that.

  For DS's first Christmas, we made handprint ornaments for the grandparents.  We'll probably do the same this year.

  We have a paint-your-own pottery place near us that lets us take home the brushes/paint/etc and do it at home.  I am going to make plates for them to eat off of every Christmas we are spending with each grandparent.  Going to print their feet/hands on the plates and make angels, trees, reindeer, "mistle toes" or something else that I've looked up on pinterest.
  

  Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
